As of 2024, we are honoured to not only supply Woolworths in the Deli, Frozen, and Primal categories but also to have taken over the management and supply of their Fresh Seafood Counters.

This partnership means that Three Streams Smokehouse now proudly supplies an extensive range of seafood products to Woolworths stores across the Western Cape, Gauteng, and KwaZulu-Natal regions.

Method

Prepare the brown meat
Mix the brown crab meat with coconut cream, peri-peri sauce, lime juice, and smoked paprika.
Season lightly with salt and pepper.
Prepare the white meat
Toss the white crab meat gently with mayonnaise, fresh coriander, and a squeeze of lime juice. Keep the flakes intact.
Assemble in the shell
Spoon the spiced brown crab mixture into one side of the shell.
Neatly pile the coriander-lime white crab meat on the other side.
Dust with a touch more paprika and a few coriander leaves.
Serve Mozambican-style
Place the crab shell on a plate with warm Portuguese rolls or flatbread for scooping.
Add a side of tropical salsa (diced mango/papaya, red onion, chili, lime juice, and coriander).
Serve with extra lime wedges for freshness.

Chef’s Tip: For extra depth, briefly grill the assembled dressed crab under high heat until lightly golden on top — the coconut-peri-peri mix will become deliciously fragrant.
