'Marry Me' Trout

Three Streams Hot Smoked Pepper, Mustard Seed and Dill Trout Portions with rigatoni and creamy parmesan sauce

Consider this an official ‘Marry Me’ invitation… from your taste buds to someone’s heart.

This dish features a delightful interplay of flavours.

The ready to plate smoky trout provides a savoury depth that harmoniously blends with the richness of the sauce.

The addition of cream cheese and parmesan enhances the creaminess while adding a touch of indulgence. A vibrant array of herbs and spices, including basil, parsley, garlic, and red pepper flakes, adds a bright, herbaceous layer to the dish.

Finally, the squeeze of lemon juice cuts through the richness, adding a refreshing brightness and balancing the flavours perfectly.

What’s not to love?

Ingredients

  • Hot Smoked Pepper, Mustard Seed and Dill Trout Portions
  • Pasta of your choice (I went with a large rigatoni)

Sauce:

  • 1 TBS Butter
  • 1 TSP Garlic
  • 1 TSP Onion Powder
  • 1 TSP Smoked Red Pepper Flakes
  • 1 TSP Garlic Powder
  • 1 TSP Mixed Herbs
  • 250ml Cream
  • 1 Cup Veg Stock
  • 1 Cup Basil Leaves
  • 1/2 Cup Italian Parsley
  • 1 Lemon
  • TBS Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 Cup Parmesan
  • Salt and Black Pepper

Method

Melt the butter and garlic

Add the garlic powder, onion powder, red pepper flakes and mixed herbs.

Add your cream, veg stock and the juice of your lemon.

Once combined, add in the cream cheese, parmesan and season with just a pinch of sea salt and some black ground pepper.

Once the sauce has thickened, bathe your beautifully seasoned portions of trout.

Serve with a side of love!
